使徒信經
我信神,全能的父,創造天地的主。
我信耶穌基督,神的獨生子,我們的主;
因著聖靈成孕,從童女馬 利亞所生;
在本丟‧彼拉多手下受難,被釘在十字架上,死了,葬了;下到陰間;
第三天從死裏復活;
後升天,坐在無所不能的父神的右 邊;
將來要從那裏降臨,審判活人、死人。
我信聖靈;
聖而公之教會,聖徒相通;
罪得赦免;
肉身復活;
並且永生。阿們。
 
The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God the Father, Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, our Lord;
Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary;
Suffered under Pontius Pilate; was crucified, dead and buried; He descended into hell;
The third day he rose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Ghost;
I believe in the holy catholic church: the communion of saints;
The forgiveness of sins;
The resurrection of the body;
And the life everlasting. Amen.
 
尼西亞信經
我們信獨一的神,全能的父,是創造天地和有形無形之萬物的。
我們信主耶穌基督,神的獨生子,在萬世以先為父所生,出於神而為神,出於光而為光,出於真神而為真神,被生而非受造,與父一性;
萬物都藉著祂受造;
為救我們世人從天降臨,因聖靈從童女馬利亞成了肉身而為人;
又在本丟‧彼拉多手下為我們釘在十字架上,受害,埋葬;照聖經的話第三天復活;升天,坐在父的右 邊;
將來必從威榮中降臨,審判活人、死人;
祂的國度永無窮盡。
我們信賜生命的主聖靈,從父、子而出,與父、子同樣受尊敬,受榮耀;祂曾藉著眾先知說話。我們信使徒所立的獨一聖而公的教會。我們承認為赦罪所立的獨一聖洗。我們盼望死人復活和來世的永生。阿們。
 
The Nicene Creed(381 A.D.):

We believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible.

And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all worlds (aons), Light of Light, very God of very God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father;

And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all worlds (aons), Light of Light, very God of very God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father;

who for us men, and for our salvation, came down from heaven, and was incarnate by the Holy Ghost of the Virgin Mary, and was made man;

he was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate, and suffered, and was buried, and the third day he rose again, according to the Scriptures, and ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of the Father;

from thence he shall come again, with glory, to judge the quick and the dead;

whose kingdom shall have no end.

And in the Holy Ghost, the Lord and Giver of life, who proceedeth from the Father, who with the Father and the Son together is worshiped and glorified, who spake by the prophets. In one holy catholic and apostolic Church; we acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins; we look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.

一.
凡願意得救的人必須持守真正大公信仰。
二.
若不完全或不純正地持守的人,必永遠沉淪。
三.
真正大公信仰就是:我們敬拜在三個位格中的一位神和在一位神中的三個位格。
四.
神的位格不混亂;衪的本體(或譯「本質」)也不分割。
五.
因為聖父是一個位格,聖子是另一個位格;聖靈又是一個位格。
六.
但聖父、聖子、聖靈同是一個神聖本質(或譯「同是一位神本質」),有同樣的榮耀和威嚴。
七.
聖父如何,聖子也如何,聖靈亦如何。
八.
聖父非受造,聖子非受造,聖靈也非受造。
九.
聖父無限、聖子無限,聖靈也無限。
十.
聖父永恆,聖子永恆,聖靈也永恆。
十一.
不是三位永恆者,乃是一位永恆者。
十二.
正如不是三位非受造者,不是三位無限者,乃是一位非受造者和無限者。
十三.
照樣,聖父全能,聖子全能,聖靈也全能。
十四.
但不是三位全能者,乃是一位全能者。
十五.
因此聖父是神,聖子是神,聖靈也是神。
十六.
但不是三位神,乃是一位神。
十七.
因此聖父是主,聖子是主,聖靈也是主。
十八.
但不是三位主,乃是一位主。
十九.
因為正如我們被大公真理催而承認每一位格自己是神和主,我們也被大公信仰禁止說有三位神
或三位主。
二十
. 聖父不是被製成,也非受造、或被生出。
廿一.
聖子卻唯獨由聖父所生,不是被製成或受造。
廿二.
聖靈不是被製成、被創造或被生,卻是由聖父與聖子而出。
廿三.
因此有一位聖父,不是三位聖父;有一位聖子,不是三位聖子;有一位聖靈,不是三位聖靈。
廿四.
而在這三位一體中,不分先後,不分大小。
廿五.
但三個位格都同等同永存。所以一切都當與上述所說,在神裏我們敬拜三個位格,而在三個位
格裏我們敬拜一位神。
廿六.
所以,凡要得救的人必須如此想到三位一體的神。
廿七.
若要得到永恆救恩,人也必須誠實篤信我們的主耶穌基督的道成肉身。
廿八.
因為正確的信仰就是:我們既相信又承認我們的主耶穌基督,神的兒子,是神也是人。
廿九.
衪是神,在創世以先按聖父的本質而被生;衪是人,按衪母親的本質而被生於世上。
三十.
衪是完全的神又是完全的人,且有理性的靈魂和人類血肉之軀。
三十一.
按衪的神性說,與聖父同等;按衪的人性說,卻是低於聖父。
三十二.
衪雖然同時是神又是人,但衪卻不是兩位基督,而只是一位基督。
三十三.
衪是一,並不是衪的神性變為肉體,而是神取了人性
三十四.
衪是一,並不是神性和人性的本質混合,卻是兩性聯合而為一個位格。
三十五.
就如理性的靈魂和肉體合成一個人,神性與人性合成一位基督。
三十六.
衪為使我們得救恩而受難,下到陰間,第三天從死裏復活。
三十七.
衪升到天上,坐在全能父神的右邊,將來必從那裏降臨,審判活人死人。
三十八.
當衪降臨的時候,所有的人都要身體復活,並為他們本身所作所為作出交代。
三十九.
行善的人必進入永生;作惡的人必進入永火。
四十.
這是真正大公信仰,人若不忠誠篤信,就無法得救。
   
The Athanasian Creed
  1. Whosoever will be saved, before all things it is necessary that he hold the catholic faith;
  2. Which faith except every one do keep whole and undefiled, without doubt he shall perish everlastingly.
  3. And the catholic faith is this: That we worship one God in Trinity, and Trinity in Unity;
  4. Neither confounding the persons nor dividing the substance.
  5. For there is one person of the Father, another of the Son, and another of the Holy Spirit.
  6. But the Godhead of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit is all one, the glory equal, the majesty coeternal.
  7. Such as the Father is, such is the Son, and such is the Holy Spirit.
  8. The Father uncreated, the Son uncreated, and the Holy Spirit uncreated.
  9. The Father incomprehensible, the Son incomprehensible, and the Holy Spirit incomprehensible.
  10. The Father eternal, the Son eternal, and the Holy Spirit eternal.
  11. And yet they are not three eternals but one eternal.
  12. As also there are not three uncreated nor three incomprehensible, but one uncreated and one incomprehensible.
  13. So likewise the Father is almighty, the Son almighty, and the Holy Spirit almighty.
  14. And yet they are not three almighties, but one almighty.
  15. So the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God;
  16. And yet they are not three Gods, but one God.
  17. So likewise the Father is Lord, the Son Lord, and the Holy Spirit Lord;
  18. And yet they are not three Lords but one Lord.
  19. For like as we are compelled by the Christian verity to acknowledge every Person by himself to be God and Lord; So are we forbidden by the catholic religion to say; There are three Gods or three Lords.
  20. The Father is made of none, neither created nor begotten.
  21. The Son is of the Father alone; not made nor created, but begotten.
  22. The Holy Spirit is of the Father and of the Son; neither made, nor created, nor begotten, but proceeding.
  23. So there is one Father, not three Fathers; one Son, not three Sons; one Holy Spirit, not three Holy Spirits.
  24. And in this Trinity none is afore or after another; none is greater or less than another.
  25. But the whole three persons are coeternal, and coequal. So that in all things, as aforesaid, the Unity in Trinity and the Trinity in Unity is to be worshipped.
  26. He therefore that will be saved must thus think of the Trinity.
  27. Furthermore it is necessary to everlasting salvation that he also believes rightly the incarnation of our Lord Jesus Christ.
  28. For the right faith is that we believe and confess that our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is God and man.
  29. God of the substance of the Father, begotten before the worlds; and man of substance of His mother, born in the world.
  30. Perfect God and perfect man, of a reasonable soul and human flesh subsisting.
  31. Equal to the Father as touching His Godhead, and inferior to the Father as touching His manhood.
  32. Who, although He is God and man, yet He is not two, but one Christ.
  33. One, not by conversion of the Godhead into flesh, but by taking of that manhood into God.
  34. One altogether, not by confusion of substance, but by unity of person.
  35. For as the reasonable soul and flesh is one man, so God and man is one Christ;
  36. Who suffered for our salvation, descended into hell, rose again the third day from the dead;
  37. He ascended into heaven, He sits on the right hand of the Father, God, Almighty; From thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
  38. At whose coming all men shall rise again with their bodies; and shall give account of their own works.
  39. And they that have done good shall go into life everlasting and they that have done evil into everlasting fire.
  40. This is the catholic faith, which except a man believe faithfully he cannot be saved.
